Campfire Episode #28 with Drew and Ludo

Last week, Nucamp's CEO and Nucamp Advisor, Drew A., hosted an Open House.

Drew joined Ludo for the first time on Campfire and answered an hour's worth of your questions for a full episode of great information!

Ludo announced the exciting news that students are now able to pay for a bootcamp with both loans and scholarships simultaneously.

Previously it was only possible to pay for a bootcamp one way or the other.

The first question Ludo and Drew answered is a very common one: "I want to become a developer. Is Nucamp a good place for me to start?"

Ludo prefaced his answer by asking if they had any JavaScript knowledge.

They did not, so Ludo recommended they first take the introductory course, Web Development Fundamentals.

Nucamp offers bootcamps for all levels, whether you have some coding experience, a lot, or not at all.

For those who do have experience with JavaScript, it is recommended to test your JavaScript knowledge at https://url.nucamp.co/testyourself and if your score is 85% or higher then you are ready to enroll directly into the Front End of Full Stack Bootcamps.

A lower score would indicate a gap in knowledge that our Web Development Fundamentals bootcamp can help fill and make you ready before continuing on.

Another question was about our scholarships; "What are the requirements for the scholarships? Are they academic or needs-based?"

If you go to our scholarship page you will find which are currently available.

Nucamp scholarships are not academic-based at this time and have varying qualification categories such as recent high school graduates or those economically impacted by COVID-19.

There were many more excellent questions during the show that you might also have been meaning to ask.
