M6 66 Minutes et Nucamp

(this is the French version, please scroll down for the English one)

Dimanche 3 Octobre destination Whidbey.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had the pleasure of hosting the M6 film crew (Pauline and Adrien - thank you!) the week of October 3 for the 66 Minutes show. And what a week!

It all started with my wife (Valou), who applied without really believing in it for being showcased on the show, following their call for applications sent through the Association of French Abroad in Seattle (UFE Seattle).

Pauline informs us that we have been selected and begins the planning: fishing weekend at Whidbey Island, a tour of the Microsoft campus, Nucamp open house, guitar lessons with Eliot and his teacher Cyrille (unfortunately abandoned during the filming, because they already have too many sequences).

Sunday, October 3, destination Whidbey. Small fear on the way: our cameraman Adrien films us boarding the ferry and misses the departure… he joins us with the next ferry. Then a day full of fun and joy as you can see in the report. Many thanks to our neighbors and friends Ketsia and Glenn!

Thursday, October 7, destination Nucamp and Microsoft,  we start early in the morning at 7:30 am with the online version of the open house on YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn. The video crew who is generally not enthusiastic about filming someone in front of their screen admits that this is something else ... Matrix style! 😊

We then go to eat a sandwich at Farine and we quickly go to the Campus, where Valou becomes the star of the day.

We end the day at another Nucamp open house, in person this time, and planned for the show to present how Nucamp operated before covid. I loved meeting our students and potential clients… and what a success! The room was packed.

For those in France interested in joining Nucamp, it is possible as long as they can read English and speak it a little bit! Register in the "Online Eastern", "Online Central" or "Online Pacific" community depending on the time at which you wish to join the Saturday workshops:
