Nucamp Hits a Milestone with 500 Student Reviews on Course Report
Last Updated: June 5th 2024
From restaurants to retail, we all know that online reviews are today's word of mouth. While other bootcamps promote themselves with stock photos and empty job promises, we believe that our best validation comes from the voices of our students. This week, Nucamp hit a milestone of over 500 online reviews on Course Report, the leading authority on researching, tracking, and sharing updates on the coding bootcamp industry. This overwhelming number of reviews combined with a 4.75 rating, is a proven example of the growth and positive impact our bootcamps are having on students.
“Every 5 weeks a bootcamp ends and I’m waiting to read what students have to say about their experience, it’s been the highlight of my job ever since we created Nucamp!” - Ludo Fourrage, Founder and Chief Learning Officer at Nucamp
A community driven learning model encourages students to collaborate with each other and share their knowledge as they continue down their paths as web developers. Every five weeks we learn more and more about how to grow and improve the learning experience. From projects posted on Youtube to the reviews online, we continue to be validated by the success of our students .
“Nucamp was an affordable option for all the Code Boot camps out there. I like how it gave you the flexibility during the week to study, but kept you in line with keeping up with all your work to prepare fore the live workshop on Saturday. I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with live students, and also have access to other former and current students in several Slack communities. This will be great for networking and getting any professional advice and help!” --Shay

Nucamp Reaches 500 Course Report Reviews, Unveils $50,000 Coding Bootcamp Scholarship Fund for Recent High School Graduates
BELLEVUE, WASH. (PRWEB) AUGUST 18, 2020
Nucamp (https://www.nucamp.co), the leading provider of nationwide affordable software coding bootcamps, today announced it has reached a milestone of 500 reviews on Course Report, the leading authority on researching, tracking, and sharing updates on the coding bootcamp industry. To further its mission to help underserved communities become software developers, Nucamp also announced today a $50,000 High School Graduate Coding Bootcamp Scholarship Fund to help young adults impacted by COVID-19.
“We’re excited to reach the 500 reviews milestone on Course Report and see the continued growth and popularity of our affordable coding bootcamps,” said Ludo Fourrage, Founder and Chief Learning Officer at Nucamp. “Every 5 weeks a bootcamp ends and I’m waiting to read what students have to say about their experience, it’s been the highlight of my job ever since we created Nucamp!”
This review for example “I chose Nucamp for the combination of in-person and online instruction, the part-time commitment, the accountability it provided, as well as for the price. It did not disappoint. I really enjoyed having a cohort of other local students to learn alongside, as well as an in-person instructor. Even when we had to switch to virtual workshops due to COVID-19, the experience was still positive. I would never have learned so much on my own. The weekly Saturday workshops were crucial to me sticking with it over the course of many months.”
Fourrage continued, “But, it’s imperative that we do even more for young adults in underserved communities who have finished high school, but have had their hopes and dreams of going off to college negatively impacted by COVID-19. That’s why I’m excited to announce our $50,000 scholarship fund to help create a clear path for them to have a career as a software developer.”
Fourrage, who worked at Microsoft for 18 years leading the development of digital learning, started Nucamp after seeing a significant affordability and accessibility gap with coding bootcamps, especially for those who are underemployed yet working full-time jobs. With 32 percent of 2020 high school graduates now expected to delay their start date for college, and 16 percent having changed the career path they wish to pursue, Nucamp can help these young adults work towards a rewarding career and avoid a gap year.
Nucamp’s part-time, 22-week full stack web and mobile development bootcamps are officially available in big and small cities across the U.S. The company, which has a 4.75 rating on Course Report, has racked up 500 reviews with its affordable coding bootcamps that revolutionize how people access rewarding careers in software development, without requiring a college degree or expensive education.
